This Roaring Twenties same-sex wedding styled shoot was unlike any other I’ve been a part of! Tina, with Serendipity Events by Tina, had a brilliant idea: “We invest so much into these styled shoots, why not turn it into a party for industry friends?” And that’s exactly what we did! The day began like a typical styled shoot… well, if you consider a styled shoot with Tina typical! When she plans something, she goes big—no small details here. She creates full-scale productions that feel like real weddings, and this same-sex wedding styled shoot was no exception. Photographing these setups is a challenge because it’s just like shooting a real wedding—except with even more creativity and flair! (haha!) Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate, and rain started pouring down right as we were about to head outside for the “ceremony.” But just like a real wedding, we quickly shifted to plan B and moved everything indoors. After we wrapped up the styled shoot, the fun continued with an unforgettable reception. We invited our friends from the wedding industry to join us and celebrate. Our gorgeous models, Jaime and Isabel, who had just recently gotten engaged, stayed with us and shared their first dance—a beautiful moment that made the day even more special. Guests came dressed in glamorous attire, and we kicked off the celebration with games, “smoking” chocolate cigars, and sipping the best French 75s (seriously, it was amazing). The dance floor was full, and we partied into the night. It was hands down the best same-sex wedding styled shoot I’ve ever been a part of! Fun Fact! This styled shoot took place in January of 2020, and our stunning models, Jamie and Isabelle, were engaged during the shoot. Later that same year, I had the honor of photographing their real wedding—a truly full-circle moment for me!
