Jennifer and Rachel’s same-sex wedding atAshton Gardens in February was an absolute delight to photograph! From their sweet moments during the first look to the lively reception, every part of their day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
The day started with the brides getting ready together, which was such a beautiful and intimate experience. Both Jennifer and Rachel were excited to surprise each other with their wedding dresses, and the first look was a tear-jerker! It was such a sweet moment, and the emotion in the air was palpable. Even though it was a cold winter day, both brides braved the chilly temperatures for a few portraits outside. We were lucky that the rain held off, allowing us to capture some stunning shots with the wintery backdrop.
The vibe of the entire wedding was relaxed and joyful. Everyone was so excited to celebrate this beautiful union. The reception was a blast—there was never a dull moment! One of the most touching parts of the evening was when both brides danced with their dads. It was such a heartwarming moment that truly highlighted the bond between families.
Another fun and memorable moment was during the cake cutting. The kids were so excited that they couldn’t wait for the official cake cutting! They started stealing chocolate-covered strawberries from the cakes before the ceremony even started. And when it came time for Rachel to toss the bouquet, she made sure to include Jennifer, holding her hand as they shared the moment together.
Jennifer and Rachel, thank you for allowing me to document your beautiful same-sex wedding at Ashton Gardens. You both are such a kind and sweet couple, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to capture your love and the joy of your day. Congratulations to both of you, and I wish you many years of love, happiness, and adventure ahead!
